On
March 20, 2003 a licensed judge started a Message Board for professional
fanciers who owned and showed some very rare varieties and breeds of
guinea pigs. The Director and Moderator of that Board is Nancy
Peyton of Florida. She has a 1st and 2nd Councilor. Since
then we've grown to 132 members. Our group motto is, "Rarest of
the Rare" and our theme is, "All for One and One for All." Our
color is purple. Sound like fun so far? You bet it is.
So what kind of group are we? Well, we're
an enthusiastic, silly, and crazy bunch of fanciers. who simply adore
and promote some very rare varieties and breeds of cavies in the
country. Yep, we're a little nutty at times.
But more importantly, we show our beloved
critters. They're judged on body type, coat, color, hair texture
and density, and much more. It's soooo exciting. Compared to
show entry prices of dogs and cats, showing a cavy cost about $3.00+ in
fairs, local, and state shows. To us, we think it's well worth the
travel to win the title "BEST IN SHOW". It's a rewarding
experience and hobby for all age groups especially families.
Different varieties and breeds vary from state
to state. Contact us and let us know what is rare in your area.
We'd like to help promote them. Yes, we're a very special
organization indeed. Come join us. (Link provided on
